PAC - Polyaluminium Chloride
1. Product Introduction
PAC, short for Polyaluminium Chloride, is also referred to as alkaline aluminium chloride or coagulant, etc. It is water-soluble inorganic high polymer between ALCL3 and AL (OH) 3.
This products manufactured through changing the structure and from distribution of polymer by special production process during producing polyaluminum chloride; its high molecular weight reinforces the capability of charge neutralization and bridge absorption towards the negative-charged colloid. It has relatively good properties of bridging absorption and physicochemical processes, such as coagulation, adsorption and sedimentation, may occur during hydrolytic process. It is a harmless inorganic composite coagulant with macromolecule, and is the ideal chemical to treat low-temperature, low-turbidity and heavily organic-polluted water. This product passed the new-product appraisal in 1995, which authorized by Jiangsu Provincial Science Committee.
2. Properties and Advantages
1. Its purifying effect on low-temperature, low-turbidity and heavily organic-polluted raw water is much better than other organic flocculant, furthermore, the treatment cost is lowered by 20%-80%.
2. It can lead to quick formation of folc (epecially at low temperature) with big size and rapid precipitation service life of cellular filter of sedimentation basin.
3. The dosage is smaller than that of other flocculants, which is better for improving the quality of treated water.
4. It has wide-range adaptability to the waters at different temperatures (in the summer and the winter) and at different regions (in the south and the north of China).
5. It is suitable for automatic dosing device of alum.
6. It can adapt to a wide range of pH value (5−9), and can reduce the pH value and basicity after processing.

5. Mainly usage:
1) City water purification: rivers water, water, groundwater reservoir.
2) Purification of water for industrial supply. In the industrial production, used in paper sizing, printing and dyeing, bleaching, dyeing and cement the accelerating, the precision casting stiffening agent, fire-proof material adhesives, glycerin refined, sugar refining, cloth anti-creasing liquid, medicine, cosmetics, and other industries, making the wastewater recycling.
