Description:

Colorless cubic crystal or white powder, toxic, density 3.24 g / cm, slightly hygroscopic, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. 

Heating hours of the liberation of oxygen and strong oxidizing contact with sulfur, phosphorus, organic matter, friction or impact can cause a fire or explosion. 

Melting point 592 °C, high temperature decomposition. 

Green flame burning. Used as oxidizing agents, analytical reagents.

Used for the barium salt, flares and fireworks, but also for pottery enamel, medicine and other. 

By nitric acid with barium hydroxide the reaction obtained.

Use:

Qualitative sulfuric acid and chromic acid . Manufacturing over barium oxide . Green fireworks . Vacuum tube industry.
